For a year, Leiden historians used archives, sources and research to investigate the colonial and slavery past of the university and the city. They did so on behalf of the university's board of directors and the municipal government of Leiden. According to the preliminary research, the university and its community profitted from the wealth that had been earned through slavery and colonialism. |
